ATHLETE REGISTRATION
Deadline is Tuesday, April 1, 2025

This form is used to register EACH Athlete Group (Classroom)

Kiwanis and SCCOE (Santa Clara Office of Education) are pleased to announce, each Classroom will be assigned to individual Groups. If your Classroom would like to be join another Classroom, just let us know the other Classroom Teacher Name in the “Optional – Additional Information” box.

As participation has increased, we may not have enough volunteers to provide Group Leaders. We request Classrooms to choose a responsible adult from their Classroom or School to serve as Group Leader. Check in with your Adaptive PE Teacher or School Coordinator for suggestions.Should your Classroom have additional personnel that can serve as your Group Leader, thhe form below now includes fields to enter the Group Leader name and email. If you know parents, older siblings, community members and school personnel who want to volunteer as Group Leaders for other Classroom Groups, please provide their information using Group Leader Registration.

  • Group Leaders meet their Classroom Groups at their assigned FIRST EVENT, collect the Group Sign (to be held high during the Games), take roll, and then help the Classroom Teacher and other supporting adults to navigate the Events for the duration of the Games. When the Group is done for the day, The Group Leader will return the Group Sign and completed Roll Sheet to Volunteer Registration.

Each Classroom will compete together throughout Special Games as a Group. A Group ID will be assigned to the Classroom. 

In addition to individual Athlete information, e.g. First Name, Last Name, and T-Shirt size, please choose or enter the following:

  • School Name and Banner Name
  • Adaptive PE Teacher (APE) Name or School/District Coordinator
  • Classroom Teacher Name and email address
  • Group Leader Name and email address
  • Classroom Age Group

After the Official Opening of Special Games on Friday, April 25, 2025, Athletes will be instructed to go to their assigned First Event for Roll. The assigned First Event is printed on the Athlete's Name Tag. At the first Event, the Group Leader will take roll. At the direction of the Classroom Teacher (or designated Adult), the Group may then proceed to compete in that first event (or not) and then decide to continue in whatever sequence of Events. We encourage Groups to participate in as many Events, including repeating Events, as time allows before the final bell signaling Lunch Time.

All Classrooms Groups from your school will be assigned to the same First Event. If Classrooms/Groups would like to move from event to event together, please coordinate with the Classroom Teacher and Group Leader for each Group at the First Event.
