Grant Purpose and Proposal Evaluation

This grant is intended to assist local Jewish organizations to care for the vulnerable or help prevent future vulnerability. Organizations can apply for a grant of up to $50,000 in any of the following areas:

  • Prevention
  • Enhanced services and support
  • Technological upgrades to improve delivery of care
  • Inclusion in Jewish life of people with varying abilities

 Goals of the Fund

  • More vulnerable Ottawans can access Jewish life 
  • Foster increased accessibility and inclusion within the Jewish community, of those with varying abilities
  • Education in order to prevent crises in the future
  • Increase capacity of Jewish organizations to deliver high-quality care
 
Measuring Success
Programs and projects funded through this grant must:
  • Measure how care and quality of life for vulnerable people is improved through this grant. Some ways this can be measured: improvements in health outcomes, observed behaviours, and quality of life measures. 
  • Report on how accessibility and inclusion are improved
  • Administer a survey and/or meet specified reporting requirements, such as number of individual participants, participation hours, and other measures.

If approved, you will be required to sign a funding agreement that outlines the obligations and responsibilities related to receipt of this grant. 
 
Funds are provided in the form of expense reimbursements supported by valid recipients.  Receipts for work or products outside of the scope described in this proposal may be declined. 
 
This grant must be used within 12 months of receipt or over 3 years as detailed in the funding agreement.
