An applicant must be an active licensee of the State Bar and maintain their principal office for the practice of law within the State of California. If you have not done so already, please review the fact sheet.
The application form has fillable text fields and checkboxes to make completing it easier. Items with an asterisk (*) are required. In some cases, depending your responses, additional fields may appear requesting additional information.
Before starting your application, please ensure that you have all documents noted below saved on your computer and ready to upload. This will help streamline the application process and prevent any delays:
- Required: Resume or biography (5 pp max).
- Required: References (5 max; list name, address, phone, fax, and email).
- Optional (but recommended): Letters of recommendation (2-letter max).
