שבט אופק הינו שבט צופים המהווה תנועת נוער לילדים מכיתה ג' ועד י"ב בעלי רקע ישראלי, הגרים בבוסטון וסביבתה. השבט הוקם בשנת 1985 כחלק מהנהגת צופי-צבר על ידי ידידי ארגון הצופים הישראלי. השבט מקיים פעילות שבועית בקבוצות גיל המתקיימת כולה בעברית, תוך חיבור לתרבות הישראלית, לאקטואליה, לחגים ואירועים. חניכי השכבות הבוגרות, תלמידי כיתות י'-י"ב, מובילים את פעילות השבט ומשמשים בתפקידי ריכוז, לוגיסטיקה, והדרכה. הפעילות מקנה לחניכים הצעירים והבוגרים חיבור לישראל, פיתוח קישורים חברתיים ויכולת מנהיגות ואחריות.

תרומתכם תאפשר לנו לממן מלגות השתתפות למשפחות מעוטות יכולת, ציוד לפעולות, וקיום אירועים למען הקהילה.

השבט שייך להנהגת צבר בצפון אמריקה המוכרת כעמותה ללא כוונת רווח לצרכי מס.

Shevet Ofek is a Tzofim Tzabar chapter, a youth movement for children of Israeli-origin, in grades 3-12 living in the Boston area. The chapter was established in 1985 by the Friends of the Israeli Scouts in North America - a nonprofit educational organization. Weekly activities are held in Hebrew, planned and executed by high school children leading kids in the younger grades. Its goal is to grow our next generation of true leaders in an environment of Hebrew language, and Israeli and Jewish culture.

Your contribution will help us support families with scholarships, invest in better equipment, and organize events for the Israeli and Jewish community in the Greater Boston Area.
