All the Basics of Public Speaking, From Crafting Clever Speeches
to Dynamic Delivery Techniques
Each day, students will practice presentation skills, such as posture, movement, and vocal variation.
They will learn techniques to increase confidence while speaking. The camp covers strategies for mastering impromptu speeches, such as those needed for interviews. After analyzing different types of speeches, students will write a speech about a topic they find interesting. Instruction will include how to create captivating introductions, strong points to keep the audience engaged, and unique conclusions. At the end of the last class, students will present their polished pieces for friends and family. Each student will receive a notebook filled with ideas for continued practice at home.
