The ICCA Mauritius 2016 Fund is a fund made available by ICCA to promote attendance at the ICCA 2016 Congress by African nationals, including judges and Young ICCA members. African nationals who are practitioners, judges, lawyers in public service, or advanced students/young professionals who are members of Young ICCA, are eligible to apply. Limited funding is available to cover air fares, accommodation and (on a case by case basis) discounted African national registration fees.

Deadline for application: 15 December 2015; successful applicants will be notified by 31 January 2016.

Terms and conditions
  • Application forms shall be submitted through the online application form by 15 December 2015
  • All applicants will be notified whether their application has been successful by 31 January 2016
  • All decisions of ICCA’s Fund Committee are final and no correspondence will be entered into with unsuccessful applicants
  • A maximum of EUR 1500 may be granted per applicant
  • All travel to and from Mauritius shall be economy class
  • A maximum of 3 or 4 nights of accommodation in Mauritius will be reimbursed depending on distance to destination
  • Successful recipients shall advance their own costs, provide the ICCA Bureau with receipts for all claimable expenses after attending the Congress, and be reimbursed by the ICCA Bureau after attending the Congress. On a case-by-case showing of need, ICCA may advance the air fare and, in exceptional cases, one-half of all other funds before the Congress. Failure to attend the Congress will lead to a request by ICCA for reimbursement with interest, and applicants agree to such reimbursement.
  • Preference will be given to applicants from countries listed on the OECD DAC List of ODA (Aid) Recipients as “least developed countries” and “other low income countries”.
