Teacher Grant/ Scholarship

The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club (DGWJC) is offering a total of $2,000 in grant funding to be allocated between at least two full-time Illinois School District 58 teachers*.  Teachers can request a one-time grant in any denomination between $100 and $1,000 for professional development coursework or for direct classroom materials/programs that the educator feels will benefit students in a meaningful way. 

 

All information requested below in this form should be answered in full and submitted, along with any applicable supporting documents emailed to stephanie@formsite.com no later than 11:59 p.m. CT on Friday, May 24, 2019.  The grants will be awarded prior to the end of the 2018-19 school year.

Grant/ Scholarship Eligibility

All applicants must be full-time Kindergarten - 8th grade teachers or other full-time licensed educational instructors at a school in Illinois School District 58.  Applicants must also intend to continue teaching full-time throughout the 2019-2020 academic year. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents of the United States.

Description of Funds

All grants/scholarships will be awarded via a one-time, not to exceed $1,000 grant/scholarship.  The grant/scholarship will be awarded in the form of a check from the Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club written directly to the vendor or educational institution of the Receipent's choice to be applied toward the educational resources or course/workshop/program enrollment. The funds will be addressed to the grant/scholarship Receipent and mailed to the school designated by the Receipent on his/her submission form.  Funds must be used within one year or by June 1, 2020.
