As stated in the policy, your Chosen Name will be used on non-legal communications and documents at BW. Individuals should be aware that this could include communications which reach beyond our campus. For instance, student, faculty and staff chosen names are used when recognizing accomplishments on our website, social media channels and included in press releases which could be picked up by media in Northeast Ohio as well as media in the hometown of the individual who is being celebrated. As not everyone who elects to use a chosen name on campus would want that name used beyond campus, we call this to your attention prior to completing the process.
