NEOHO is excited to offer undergraduate students an opportunity to apply for professional development support from the organization through the Ron L. McDonald Undergraduate Development Award.
Award recipients may use funds received for growth and professional development opportunities such as attending OCPA, GLACUHO, OPE or other events that will serve to further their residence life and student affairs experience.
In order to be eligible, applicants must be undergraduate students from NEOHO member institutions in good financial standing. Applicants must also meet the following criteria:
- Achieved junior or senior standing
- Have at least one year of experience serving as a campus student leader
- Possess a desire to pursue a career in residence life
- Made contributions to their campus beyond “acceptable” performance as certified by their Senior Housing Officer (SHO)
Development Award recipients will be required to present a session at the NEOHO RA conference at the winter meeting following the announcement of the award. If for any reason a recipient does not attend the event for which they were awarded support, scholarship funds must be returned to NEOHO.
The deadline for application submission is Friday, October 13, 2017. Review of applications will begin immediately and the scholarship will be awarded at the Fall Business Meeting at Lake Erie College.
