Study Abroad Scholarship Requirements

Through the generosity of Baldwin Wallace donors, we are proud to offer five to ten scholarships ($500-$1000 each) per semester. These competitive scholarships are awarded based on applicants' financial need, GPA, and the quality of the applicant's essay.

  • Applicant must be "committed" to their study away program according to their online application.
  • The program must be a Summer, Fall, or Spring Independent BW Study Abroad Recommended Option 1 or Option 2 program. (Length of the program must be at least 4 weeks or longer)
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need (this will be verified with Financial Aid.)
  • Students are only eligible to receive a *BW Study Abroad Scholarship once during their time at BW. If you were awarded the scholarship previously, your application will not be considered.

Awardees will also be required to share highlights from their study away experience on Explorations Instagram account or upon return. (See below for more details)
