Summer Aid Application for Dependent Students Only

This form should be completed by DEPENDENT (undergraduate) students who are completing coursework at BW during the summer semester.

Graduate and post-baccalaureate students can include summer 2019 enrollment plans on the 2019-20 enrollment worksheet for independent students (www.bw.edu/financial-aid/forms).

Summer financial aid consists of state and federal aid only, for eligible students, based on the 2019-20 FAFSA. BW merit scholarships, grants, special awards and named scholarships are not available for use in summer terms, unless notified otherwise.

If you are deemed to be an independent student after filing your FAFSA, DO NOT submit this application. You can report your summer 2019 enrollment on your 2019-20 enrollment worksheet.

Please do not complete this form until the following have been completed:

  • You have filed your 2019-20 FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov and have completed the verification process (if applicable)

  • You have registered for the summer 2019 term

After filing your FAFSA, were you deemed a dependent or independent student? *
STOP HERE: If you've answered "independent student" to the above question, you should not complete this form but should report your summer enrollment on the 2019-20 enrollment worksheet (www.bw.edu/financial-aid/forms/)
Are you registered for summer 2019 classes? *
STOP HERE: If you have not yet registered for summer 2019, do not complete this form. Only submit this form AFTER you have registered for summer 2019 classes.

Summer Financial Aid

Please read the statements below about your financial aid options for the summer term, and select how you want your financial aid distributed.
Pell Grant Eligibility: If you are eligible for this grant, you may have additional grant money available to you during the summer semester that does not impact the amount available to you during fall/spring.
After reading the above statement, do you wish to use your Pell Grant (if applicable) during the summer term? *
Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG) Eligibility: If you are eligible for this grant, using the funds during the summer term will affect the amount available to you during the fall and/or spring terms. If you choose to use a portion of the OCOG for your summer enrollment, those funds may not be available to you during the fall/spring term (this means the amount you are eligible for in fall/spring is reduced).
After reading the above statement, do you wish to use a portion of your OCOG (if applicable) for your summer 2019 classes? *
Federal Direct Student Loan Eligibility: If you are eligible for Federal Direct Student Loans (subsidized and/or unsubsidized), using the funds during the summer term will affect the amount available to you during the fall and/or spring terms. If you choose to use a portion of your Federal Student Loans for the summer term, those funds may not be available to you during the fall/spring term (this means the amount you are eligible for in fall/spring is reduced).
