Field Trip Request

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Botanic Research Institute of Texas welcome you!
 
Please fill out the following information to submit a request to the calendar.
Once submitted, please allow 1-2 business days for a FWBG|BRIT staff member to follow up.
What type of field trip are you interested in? *
STEM Challenges provide groups with supplies and instructions for interactive STEM activities related to garden spaces for a teacher-led field trip experience.
 
All STEM Challenge Field Trips include:
Supplemental materials to complete the take-home Engineering Design Challenge
An introduction to the topics and themes with FWBG|BRIT staff when you arrive
A Teacher Activity Lesson Plan which provides the field trip lesson plan, driving questions, and fun facts to lead your group in exploring nature
Opportunities to interact with and perform STEM activities with an FWBG|BRIT educator at two investigation stations
Included general admission to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden for the full day
 
STEM Challenges are offered Tuesday - Friday at either 10AM - 12PM OR 11AM - 1PM during Spring 2023.

Self-Guided Explorations provide the freedom to explore at your own pace. FWBG|BRIT Educators will not be present during this experience, and no auxillary materials will be provided.

LEEDing the Way provides middle/high school groups a chance to explore the inside and outside BRIT's LEED Platinum building while gaining a deeper understanding of enviornmental stewardship in this hands-on study.

Guided Tour through BRIT's LEED Campus
On-Site Engineering Design Challenge
Entry to Explore the Botanic Gardens
 
LEEDing the Way is offered Wednesday-Friday at either 10AM - 12PM OR 11AM - 1PM during Spring 2023.

Available Monday - Friday 9 am - 3 pm 

Minimum of 15 participants.

$5 /Student and $5 /Adult

Discounted rate available for Title 1 schools

Self-Guided Exploration pricing is available for schools, homeschool groups, and after-school programs for children Pre-K-12th grade only. To register an adult or college group to visit the garden, please contact Stephanie Sellers: ssellers@brit.org 

Most Self-Guided Explorations are booked for the first choice date; we request a second date as a precaution.

Adult Chaperones: Minimum requirement of one chaperone per ten students. The required chaperones will be registered free of charge, please review your confirmation email and invoice to see these listed. Any additional adult chaperones registered with the group will be $5 each*. 
* 504 accommodating adults are free
 
Any unregistered guests joining a group on the day of a Self-Guided Field Trip will pay the regular garden admission of $12. We strongly recommend registering all adults to save time and money.

$140 Minimum for groups of fewer than 20 participants

Discounted rate available for Title 1 schools

We have a small team of educators, and having multiple date options greatly increases the likelihood of booking a Field Trip. We do our best to match your preferrence, and will contact you if we need to discuss other date options. Thank you for understanding.
Due to Texas weather conditions, STEM Challenge Field Trips will not be availbale during the months of July - August and December - February.

$10 /participant 

$200 Minimum for groups of fewer than 20 participants

No Butterflies in the Garden field trips will be available during FWISD spring break, March 14-18.

Adults and Chaperones: Minimum requirement of 1 chaperone per 10 students. 

All adults registered as part of the group qualify for Field Study Trip pricing of $10 each. This registration fee includes one-time entry to the Butterflies in the Garden exhibit and other activities with the field trip group and general admission to the Garden for the same day. *504 accommodating adults are free – please indicate any required 504 adults in the “students needing accommodation” field below.

Any unregistered adult joining on the day of a Field Study Trip will pay the regular admission fees and will be subject to availability of Butterflies in the Garden admission. We strongly recommend registering all parents ahead of time, as this will save you both money and confusion on the day of your visit.
