Tokyu Group Scholarship Program
The Aloha Section PGA Foundation is proud to partner with Tokyu Group to recognize the top academic golf athletes in the State of Hawaii. Applicants must be current high school seniors who reside in the State of Hawaii and plan on attending an accredited college or university in the 2019-2020 academic year.
The Tokyu Group Hawaii Golf Scholarship is designed to award one-year educational scholarships. The amount of the scholarships will be determined by the availability of funds. Determination of award winners will be made by the Aloha Section PGA Foundation Scholarship Committee.
III. SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS
Scholarship recipients will be selected on the following competitive basis by using a combination of criteria, depending on class level:
- Academic Performance: includes high school/college grades, class rank, GPA and/or ACT/SAT test scores
- Financial Need
- Golf/ Extracurricular Activities
- Personal Reference (Please have your reference visit ASPGA.com to complete the personal reference form)
Extracurricular activities will help the Committee further evaluate the candidate's interest and abilities. Contributions to the community may be demonstrated by involvement in local clubs, organizations and associations. Extracurricular activities should be documented by type and years of service.
* Special consideration will be given to applicants who are high school seniors or students enrolled at a PGA PGM University. *
IV. ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
Successful applicants will be mailed an announcement by May. All recipients will be presented and announced at the Aloha Section PGA Classic on Monday, May 20, 2019.
