1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion Registration

Thank you for registering your child for reconciliation and 1st Eucharist preparation for the 2021 school year. Our sacramental preparation kick-off will take place on December 6th, candidates and their families are to attend mass at noon. Following Mass, parents will meet with Dan Miller, while candidates meet with Fr. Carrion. At least one parent, as well as the young person beginning preparation (candidate) are to attend this morning session.

As of now, all of our sessions will take place in the parish hall, gallery, and church. Based on the number of candidates, and their parents, we have ample space that would ensure social distancing. Mask will be required for all those in attendance.

Dates for Preparation

- December 6th, 12pm Mass,1pm Parent Meeting w/pastoral associate, candidate's meeting w/Fr. Carrion

- January 3rd, 10:30am -11:45 followed by noon mass: Candidate session, at least one parent must attend

- Febuary 7th, 10:30am -11:45 followed by noon mass:Candidate session, at least one parent must attend

- March 7th,10:30am -11:45 followed by noon mass:Candidate session, at least one parent must attend

- Reconciliation: Young people will receive the sacrament throughout the month of March during one of the several opportunites when the sacrament is offered. They will email the pastoral associate (Dan Miller, dmiller@stbernadette.org) with the date and time the child will receive the sacrament.

- 1st Communion: Specific dates for 1st Communion will be deteremined at a later date; however, families can anticipate these masses taking place throughout the months of April and May.

Payment Information

I understand that the fee for 1st Reconciliation and Communion preparation is currently set at $50 per candidate, payable to “St. Bernadette Parish.” Our family plans to pay for this expense on the following timetable: *

We will have the total fee of $50.00 per candidate paid in full on or before December 6th, 2020

We will make two (2) payments of $25.00 per candidate, on December 6th, 2020 and January 3rd, 2020

Our income does not allow for this expense, and we request financial assistance. Please send our family the waiver/partial waiver form.*

We will make payments on an alternative schedule (please describe below).

*Faith formation is a separate program, which entails a separate fee. However, one waiver form suffices for both programs.

The sacramental preparation fee offsets the cost of materials/supplies, retreats, and catechist/team training. Payment is due at the time of registration unless other financial arrangements are made.

No child will be denied instruction or the sacrament for lack of funds.
