TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Prior to acceptance of this form the Boat Owner MUST be financial and have a current cerificate of insurance lodged with the RGYC Main Office.

Royal Geelong Yacht Club Rules:

1) It is the boat owner/owners representative who is responsible for adjusting the designated cradle to suit their boat, this includes greasing wheel bearings.

2) Is it the boat owner/owners representative who is responsible for ensuring all due care is exercised when using the Club slipway and yard facilities.

3) Any damage occurring to other vessels as a result of work carried out in the yard is to be made good by the offending boat owner/owners representative, eg. paint over spray, anti-foul dust, etc. Any dispute resulting from such circumstances will be arbitrated by the Yard/Marina Committee or, if necessary, by the Board.

4) It is responsibility of the boat owner to ensure that the are of yard occupied is kept clean during yard storage and is cleaned after the boat had been returned to the water. The area must be cleaned daily before the owner (or their workers) leaves the premises.

5) The boat owner is responsible for returning the empty cradle to the designed storage after use.

6) It is responsibility of the boat owner to ensure that the wash down area is cleaned after use

7) The winch operator conducting the slip operation is the final  authority on whether to proceed or not. Boat owner/owners representatives of vessels being slipped will respond to directions of the winch operator.

8) use of the slipway is restricted to vessels of less than 15 tonnes total weight.
