Cideshow in Place Series Submission

This is the submission form for our Cideshow in Place program. Thank you for being part of this!

Keep in mind the rules for the shows that we're accepting:

  1. You MUST make this within your shelter in place location. We will not accept or put up any production that is breaking social distancing guidelines and placing others in danger. All other actors must live with you or must record their parts from their own social distancing locations.

  2. The series should have a genre attached (narrative series or you find a way to do a game show/ reality show, etc.), or it should be something incredibly imaginative (ie: you recreate a six minute version of a different Hollywood blockbuster in your home each week). Just talking at the camera/ ranting about something Youtuber style won’t work well for this.

  3. Each episode should be somewhere between 2 to 13 minutes. Any shorter and we risk people not being engaged. Longer and there’s the risk of intimidating viewers.

  4. All of the series should have an interactive element to them. We have the ability for viewers to select between certain options when they give a credit to a show. This interactivity will greatly increase the chances of your show receiving more credits since viewers will get to actively participate with it. Choose your own adventure type choices (should Ronda accept the date or not), competition choices (which contestant should be booted off the reality show), and episode choices (which of these films should I make in my apartment next) all work great.

  5. Make it as polished as possible. I know we’re filming in our homes, but still pay attention to lighting, sound, and sharp editing to make it as professional and as watchable as possible.

  6. Have quick turnaround time. Ideally you can get the next episode finished within a few days of your show getting renewed.

  7. Honor the renewal. If fans are donating their credits to your show, we ask that you do finish the next episode (barring unforeseen circumstances). You can always declare an episode your final one and not have it up to receive more credits.

  8. You do your best to bring at least ten people to the site. Not only will ten people get your show renewed, but more people will make the whole experience better for everyone and allow filmmakers to make more money.
