Welcome To My Table

About the project

As a University that has students and staff from over a hundred different countries, we are a diverse and varying group of people. But, how many times a day do we walk past one another without considering who they really are and what life they’ve led? We want to change this. Learning more about each other is at the very core of us appreciating the modern city of Plymouth we work, study and live in and allows us to tap into the vibrancy of those who live within it.

The Welcome To My Table project looks to show how food can be a way to bring us together, we aim to create a cookbook that not only produces incredible dishes but also lets us look beyond the plate and get a sense of who the creator really is and what that dish means to them. This project is made by the community for the community; it is student led and produced with input from departments all across the University.

What we are looking for if for you to submit a recipe that has a story, we’d love for you to open the door slightly into your world and tell us who you are.

Our final aim is to raise some funds for a local cause and really help out the community as well as highlight its diversity.

If you have a special recipe you would like to share, or know someone who does, please follow the instructions below.
