It is important that you understand the implications of studying abroad during your degree and how to make a success of the opportunity. Make sure you take a look at our website for all of the essential information you will need. Please make sure you read and understand the information provided before submitting your application.
I have read and understood the essential information and I'm happy to proceed with my application. *
If you feel that you need further information and guidance please contact your academic exchange advisor or the Plymouth Global team.
Please read the conditions that apply to taking part in an academic exchange before completing this form. *
To be selected for participation in the University of Plymouth exchange programme you must:

1) be in good academic standing without academic or other offences on your university record
2) successfully complete all components of your stage prior to your exchange. Failure in any module will disbar you from participation in your exchange
3) not be a University of Plymouth debtor, including library fines and/or other incidental dues.

Treatment of marks achieved on your exchange programme
In all circumstances, progression to your final stage requires the successful completion of the agreed number and level of host institution credits equivalent to those required for successful completion of a full-time programme at the University of Plymouth.

Where your period of study abroad is optional marks awarded by your host institution will not contribute to your overall degree classification.

Host institution admission
You will be required to complete a separate application for admission to your host institution.

For any visa application your host institution will require proof that you have the means to support yourself financially whilst on exchange. Any or all of the following documents may be required:

1) letter of financial guarantee (usually a signed letter from your parents confirming that they will underwrite your costs whilst on exchange)
2) bank statement
3) other proof of financial support (e.g. maintenance loan payment schedule).

By signing the Declaration and Approval at the end of this application you and your academic exchange advisor confirm that you accept these conditions.
The deadline for submission of completed applications is 15 February.
