This petition will allow you to formally log your OPPOSITION to all parties involved with the propsed loand transfer that will allow Atlanta Public Schools (APS) to build a "Bus Barn" on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway.
This transfer must be approved by The Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Signing will send a notice to:
the Regional Director of HUD, the National Director of HUD, Atlanta City Council Members who voted to approve this transfer, the APS Board Members, and finally the Atlanta Housing Authority Board Members who have thus far refused to provide national contact information for HUD related to this case. You will also be copied on the email sent on your behalf.
I am signing this petition to make it clear to everyone involved that I OPPOSE the transfer of property located on Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy to the Atlanta Public Schools for the purpose of a Bus Barn.
There are numerous reasons to OPPOSE this.
You may select as many as you want or enter your own reason at the bottom.
I OPPOSE the transfer of land for these reasons:

*Traffic impact on surrounding neighborhoods and commutes to bus routes
*The site is being transferred for NON RESIDENTIAL use which is incompatible with current Zoning and Comprehensive Development Plan Future Land Use
*HUD demolished the property with the promise of new, quality redevelopment that has occurred all across Atlanta. The promised has been abandoned on the Westside of Atlanta.
*This exchange is proposed a part of a resolution between the Beltline plan and APS. THis area has ZERO benefit from the Beltline.
*The site is within 1,300 feet of the Chattahoochee River
*Environmental impact of air quality, fuel storage, storm-water runoff
*Traffic impact on Atlanta Industrial Park
*Incompatible with numerous Developmental Studies and redevelopment plans including: Hollowell / Veteran's Memorial LCI, and incompatible with NPU-G Blueprint Master Plan
*Environmental Justice - this is an overburdened communityIncompatible with West End Academy Alternative High School across the street
*The proposed use of the site is incompatible with the redevelopment of the remaining Bankhead Courts property.
*This proposed use will irrevocably damage the neighboring communities access to I-285.
*This proposed use will irrevocably damage the ability to transform irreplaceable River Front Property into the livable, viable space.
