Tony Sanchez is the Lead Designer and Engineer of Record for the bridge. Tony is a proud alumnus of UC San Diego.

Born and raised in East L.A., Adrian Cortez is a registered Civil Engineer who earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles. Adrian just hit his 20-year anniversary as a bridge engineer with Caltrans Structure Construction. He has diverse bridge experience ranging from retrofits to new construction, most notably the 5/805 interchange and the Vincent Thomas Bridge and Coronado Bridge retrofits. He is currently the Structure Representative and Resident Engineer for the Gilman Bridge project.

As a proud public servant, Adrian sees to it that the traveling public receives excellent structures that will last for generations.
