Arts Studio for Kids Project

2012- 2013 Program

Art Studio for Kids Project provides imaginative learning opportunities for children that spark curiosity, foster critical thinking and create environments that are challenging and serious fun. Art Studio for Kids project and Cedar Grove Art Club, are program of Six Principles fine art in education and associates.

All Visual Art programs are based on Artist’s Open Studio concepts. They are designed to focus on learning Elements and Principles of art. Using different museum collections and teaching artistic behavior art education approaches, children will focus on artistic processes and develop their technical skills and explore personal creativity. Children encouraged to explore different kinds of artist’s materials. Watercolor, charcoal, oil pastel, chalk, ink, paint, paper and clay and much more.  

Serious Fun Artist

Serious Fun Artist is great for children between 6-9 years old. We encourage them to use their own perceptions in developing their imagination and intuitive skills. We'll also explore a wide range of projects such as painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, photography. Our goal is to orient children through an exploratory process. This is a two months program. 

Junior Master

Junior Master  is designed for Advanced Student or ages 8 and up. Multi-faceted teaching strategies will be use to develop portfolio and review the many career opportunities available in the visual arts world.  Sketchbook submission and six months commitment are required to register in this program.

Room 13 initiative

Room 13 initiative is our pilot project.  The program will teach creative skills as well as develop the organizational and leadership skills it takes to run an arts studio. Welcome to all children aged 10 and up. An application, letter of recommendation and six months commitment are required to enroll this program.

Visual Art Program, please select day and time for which you wish to register. All class is private, children is enroll in a program based on their age.

Cost: $ 56 per month

Location: Woodcreek Park area, Gibsons.

Lego Robotic ( Friday )

Location: Frank West Hall, Gibsons

Date: April 13- June 1st ( No class on May 4th- PD day )
Please Note: Additional registration required for May 4th, PD day Workshop.
Extreme Lego Day, Mindstorms NXT- Green City Challenge.

Art and Science Technology Day ( May 4th PD day )

Children must be aged within the requirement to enroll in these programs. If the registrant is under the age range, permission must be granted by the program director and instructor. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is required upon submission of this form. Note that this form is a request only and does not guarantee registration until payment is recieved. The program director reserves the right to cancel a program at any time due to low enrollment.
